Classic Lines, Uniform Beauty

Round rail fence takes the timeless post-and-rail form and gives it a clean, consistent profile: full round posts, full round rails, evenly spaced and running level across the property. It’s the polished cousin of split rail — a fence for driveways, boundaries, and horse properties where symmetry matters.

Configurations We Build

  • Two-rail — open and airy; the classic decorative boundary and driveway fence
  • Three-rail — the horse-property standard, with more height and presence
  • Wire-backed — no-climb or field mesh tucked behind the rails for dogs, foals, and gardens
  • Stained or natural — finish it for depth and contrast, or let it silver naturally

Construction That Holds Its Lines

  • Posts set to consistent depth below frost, spaced evenly along the run
  • Rails fitted tight — no droop between posts, no wandering heights
  • Custom gates to match, from walk gates to full equipment openings
  • Layout that follows your land: curves, grade changes, and corners handled cleanly

Where Round Rail Works

Rural and agricultural boundaries, residential properties that want a traditional touch, parks and shared spaces — and especially entrances, where round rail flanking a custom archway or stone columns makes the whole approach feel deliberate. Round Rail Fence — Questions We Hear a Lot

What's the difference between round rail and split rail?

Split rail uses rails split from logs, with a rougher, more rustic face. Round rail uses full round, milled rails for a smoother, more uniform look. Both are classic post-and-rail construction — the choice is aesthetic.

Two-rail or three-rail?

Two-rail reads open and decorative — great for driveways and boundaries. Three-rail adds height and containment for horses and stock. We'll recommend based on what the fence needs to do.

Is round rail fence customizable?

Fully. Height, rail count, spacing, post caps, gate styles, and stain or natural finish are all your call. We design each fence around the property.
