Turn a Driveway Into an Entrance

Good land, a nice home, and healthy stock make a ranch — but the entrance is what people remember. A custom archway marks the point where your property begins, frames the view beyond it, and puts your name (or brand) over everything you’ve built.

We design and build archways across Southwest Montana: drive-through entrances for working ranches, statement arches for luxury properties, and walk-through arches for gardens and event spaces.

Materials That Belong Here

The classic combination — and our most requested — is timber overhead with stone columns at the base: a designer look with a rugged, durable foundation. But every arch is custom:

  • Cedar and rough sawn beams from our own sawmill
  • Lodgepole logs for the classic log archway look
  • Structural steel for spans, strength, and modern-western style
  • Stone masonry bases that anchor the arch visually and structurally
  • CNC-cut signage — your ranch name, brand, or logo in steel or wood

Designed Around How You Use the Land

An archway has to clear your tallest load and outlast the weather. We design for:

  • Equipment clearance — hay trucks, trailers, RVs, snow plows
  • Wind and snow load, with footings below frost depth
  • Gate integration — automatic gates hang beautifully from a well-built arch system
  • Lighting, side fencing, and cattle guards to complete the entrance

Why Ranch Owners Choose Us

We’re Montana artisans using Montana materials — local logs and lumber, milled in-house, built by the same crew that does our welding, masonry, and gate automation. One team designs and delivers the whole entrance, and it shows in how the pieces fit together. Free design consultations and estimates from Bozeman to Livingston, Big Sky to Gardiner.

Good to Know

Custom Archways — Questions We Hear a Lot

What materials can an archway be built from?

Cedar beams, rough sawn lumber, lodgepole pine logs, structural steel, and natural stone — alone or combined. The classic Montana combination is timber overhead with stone columns at the base.

How tall and wide should a ranch archway be?

Tall and wide enough for your biggest equipment — hay trucks, horse trailers, RVs — with margin. We design clearances around how the property actually operates, not just how it looks.

Can you add a sign to the archway?

Absolutely — that's one of our favorite builds. CNC-cut ranch brand signs in steel or wood hang from or mount to the arch. See our custom ranch brand signs service.

How do archways hold up to Montana wind and snow?

Ours are engineered like the structures they are: proper footings below frost depth, posts sized for wind load, and joinery that handles snow and ice. An archway is a small building — we build it like one.
